Hello [NAME],
Welcome to 2009!!!
We all know that January 1st is when most people decide to make some (or many) significant changes in their lives. These changes often involve physical improvements and/or dietary improvements, and lifestyle changes. While all of these are done with good intentions, I'd like to be the voice of reason...make a plan, implement the change, and make it permanent!
Let's take weight loss as our example. We all want to look our best for the upcoming summer beach season, right? Wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to worry about that? So, how do you accomplish this goal? The answer is simple...make the change and maintain it! Lose the weight by making smart food choices, lowering the amount of food you intake, and adding an exercise routine that you do all year long! Make sure that you don't put your body under too much stress by trying to change everything all at once. For example, don't try to lose 50lbs, quit smoking, cut out all caffeine, and start training to run the New York Marathon...You won't make it!!! Instead, pick one thing and start making the change. Once you've continued this for 2 months, pick your next item to change and repeat. In essence, make 6 New Year's Resolutions and begin them strategically throughout the year. This is the formula for success!
Let us not forget the importance of improving and maintaining the function of our bodies as well. Which doctors do you visit on a routine basis? Your primary care physician? Dentist? Cardiologist? Chiropractor? Each doctor of your health care team is in place for a reason. If you are missing members of your team...you're missing opportunities to live a better, healthier life. So, create your healthcare team and let's make 2009 the beginning of your permanant changes!
NOTE: Please not that the office will be closed from Thursday, January 15th-Saturday, January 17th while Dr. Kipp and staff attend the world's largest Chiropractic Seminar in Las Vegas. We look forward to bringing you the newest chiropractic research and techniques upon our return!
