Dr. Kipp spends time with each patient to learn about their previous health experiences and determine each individual’s unique health goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Kipp will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. In addition, further neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed.
Our office is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine. Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of specific spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, this is the first time a patient has seen an x-ray of their spine!
The Insight Millennium Subluxation Station
This technology gives a comprehensive evaluation of the neuro-spinal function index (NSFi) which allows for a chiropractor to analyze a patient’s condition more accurately, communicate findings more simply, and track the effectiveness of the treatment.
The Heart Rate Variability (HRV) scan helps in determining your overall ability to adapt to the environment. It does so by looking at the timing of you pulse, and determining the balance and tone of your nervous system. This exam is known as heart rate variability. Proper balance and tone are associated with better adaptability and a healthy lifestyle. Low heart rate variability is associated with aging and poor heart health. Published research has shown that chiropractic adjustments have a beneficial effect on heart rate variability.
The Thermal scan is used to assess the part of your nervous system that helps control your organs, glands, and blood vessels, the autonomic system. The instrument does so by precisely measuring differences in temperature along the spine. Since proper function of your organs, glands, and blood vessels is essential to healing and living well, this test gives the doctor a ‘snapshot’ of how this portion of your nervous system is working and how it is responding to care.
The Surface EMG exam evaluates the function of the muscles that support your spine. These muscles are controlled by nerves. This test shows the pattern of how energy is distributed through these muscles. This exam helps identify areas and patterns of abnormal tension and stress. By precisely measuring muscle activity, your progress can be followed as your care progresses.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Kipp will invite you back for a second visit and will provide you with a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
1. How can you help me?
2. How often do I need to come in?
3. What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing with you your health history, x-rays, and comprehensive nerve scan; as well as your current health goals, Dr. Kipp will discuss his recommendations.
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first chiropractic adjustment at Pro-Health Chiropractic.
Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique; therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
